Using the web to make export sales
International eCommerce and Digital Sales require a thoughtful strategy to position your company for long-term success. Certainly, your website must be adapted to facilitate export sales, as explained in the Website Globalization webinar. The USCS e-Commerce Innovation Lab is another excellent place to look into the subject. And while Google is the dominant search engine in the US, you should check to see if that is also true in your target markets. The Google Export Market Finder Tool can also help you decide which markets to target. Finally, make sure your online marketing complies with overseas laws like the European General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR.
